THE LAST SWORDSMAN

In this ambitious project, I leveraged the power of Unreal Engine to create a robust and immersive combat system for a video game. The primary goal was to deliver a dynamic and engaging gameplay experience and to achieve this, I utilized a combination of component systems, Blueprint Interfaces, AnimNotify, Class inheritance, and AI Controllers coupled with Behavior Trees and Service Nodes.

BALLOON

The balloon is a two-player cooperative game that uses two bicycle pumps as Alternative Controllers in-place of traditional controllers such as a Joystick, Keyboard, Mouse etc. Two players control the ship to prevent from dying and reach the end point to complete the levels.

MONKEY KID

"Monkey Kid" is a 2D platformer developed for a Game Jam, centered around the theme, "What makes a hero?" This game introduces a unique gameplay mechanic where players acquire essential abilities from friendly non-player characters (NPCs) they encounter on their journey. To complete the game, players must learn how to climb from a helpful monkey NPC, using this newfound ability to reach the game's conclusion.

Technical Breakdown

TRASH TALK ALLEY

Trash Talk Alley is a prototype where players are exposed to clips of verbal harassment from real twitch streams and given the opportunity to fight back. With a pair of boxing gloves, our players punch their way through enemies spewing toxicity in VR in the "Dada" art style as a way to highlight just how ridiculous, horrible, and shameful the practice of verbal harassment is in video games - and that - while normalized - shouldn't be tolerated or accepted in our gaming communities.
